adam6604 Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 im building my first box for 4 kicker CVR 12's. going in my extended cab truck, i was thinking of leaving my seat up and building 4 in a row, with 2cubic feet / sub . i really have no idea what / how to tune it and what too. i can build a sealed box no problem, but i keep hearing " GO PORTED " and i really have no experiance. right now they are in 2 different prefab ported boxes ( i bought them used for a steal ) and already it pounds and makes people not sit in my truck ( lol ) SO could someone help me with a ported box design, OR tell me if it is going to be worthwhile going to a sealed box? i have no experiance with what sealed sounds like! ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED LOL Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. Audio: Two 10" Alpine Type R's ( 1000rms models ) Hifonics BRZ 2400.1D @ .5 ohm Two Kinetic 1400 batteries ( soon to have XS power under hood ) Tsunami 1/0 Awg wire throughout truck. Stock Infinity 7 speaker system ( Junk ) soon to be replaced, probably all Alpine. Exterior: 17"Dick cepek rims with 33" Toyo MT tires Bushwacker fender flares Magnaflow true duel exhaust LED tail lights with Projector headlights Plasti-dip fun coming soon!
