I havent heard the Fi personally but I've owned both typr r's and JL. The JL sounds better and gets louder than the type r's (at least when I had it). Where I'm from u could find 2 12" for $200 on Craigslist. Quote

If you look around online, you can find them for as cheap as 240 a pair. That's what I did. Turning thrashed on them daily with my aq2200d. Quote
