running active questions

ok so i took the time and rewired the truck and now im running somewhat active, but i still have my cross overs inline from tweet amp just to help the tweets out, i am getting a tweet signal out of headunit going to them but i just used the cross overs just in case

well what my setup consits of is

headunit = pioneer premire deh 860mp running in active time alignment mode

speakers = polk db6500 comp set

tweet amp = majestic 300w 2ch

mid amp = memphis pr150.2

speaker wire = 16x8 stranded speaker wire(free from school )

ok questions go as follow

1. my headunit will only let me go down as far as 2khtz on the tweet side, will this not blow tweets as this is why im still useing xovers for the tweets

2. how does time alignement work, what does the 36inches mean when adjusting each speaker? and would u want it set to aim twards driver?

3. are these settings ok

high hpf 3.15khtz

mid lpf 3.15khtz

mid hpf 80htz

low lpf 80htz

high hpf = to keep midrange out of tweets

mid lpf = to keep treble out of midrange

mid hpf = to keep low freq signals out of midrange

low lpf = to keep midrange out of low freq signal

i know most of yall know what this is but to give yall an idea of what i got to deal with

4. what does db octave cross over point mean? like -28db, -18db, -12db, -6db, pass, i have this on the mid lpf and mid hpf and i was wondering what will make it sound better but not bottom out the mid?

5. if i wire in another amp can i wire in another midrange for a 3way setup out of the mid signal?

6. since i have 6.5v rca outputs and my rca outputs has a gain level on each one, they go from 0± to -25 on mid and tweet, front and rear rcas and +6 to -25 on sub rca, is it best to keep amp gain down and turn up signal output on headunit or turn down signal output on headunit and turn gain up?

7. will takeing the xovers out of the equation will it mess up tweets?

8. i know adjusting the eq within a -3db to +3db is about all u can do and anything over will make the speaker want to try and create that type of signal, but how do u get an even sound stage without an rta? now i got a full vocal but the tweets can sometimes be harsh and i wonder how to adjust it to keep it more subtle

and i was thinking about takeing my rear coax and disconnect the tweet from it and rewire it active as well but i dont know if it will throw off the sound quality because once i get the time alignement set i wont need rear fill

im not new to car audio but some things i need a little help on like this one, i know i got a night and day difference in sq just from going active with my front speakers but now i want to fine tune it, a local shop has an rta but i think they may have moved or closed down so i dunno what to do, and they charge $50 to rta it
