no run from alt to positive on the battery negative from batt to a solid point in the car from engine ground to the negative on the batt as well

lol... that picture just shows a wire...

You need to upgrade the wire from the alternator charging post to the positive post on the battery. It should go directly to the battery with an in-line fuse. If it is 0 awg wire then I suggest 300amp fuse rating. Good luck OP!

He's not talking about the alt, he's talking about that fuse box... Look at the picture at the far right. That stud with the blue wire is the fuse box I believe he's talking about.

ahhh gotcha... I didn't do it that way as I did not want to cut into the fuse box with 0awg wiring... lol
