Why don't some songs save in the same type of MP3 format? I don't change the process yet some go into itunes, and some do not.

Edit: never mind i physically have to type in .mp3 at the end of the song name. lol.

fuuuuuck yah! So all I do is "normalize" the song and export it and there is no clipping? Life saver...

no that is only making the clipping quieter, u are not removing it

clipping is distortion beyond the data range, once u lower the amplitude u just have distortion. once an AMPLIFIER turns the signal into ac wave it will still be clipped

theres a much longer process to remove clipping than that

Well shit stains... Then I just need to download songs w/o clipping in it but 99% of the stuff i have is clipped to holy hell. Except the psyph Morrison CD i got. Thats golden!

u need to understand u can clip sub bass, mid bass, midrange, and highs... audacity doesnt differentiate between them, its ur job to see why it turns red and deem whether its enough to matter

the mids/highs ride the wave of the bassline, if there are huge flat spots then u shouldnt be playing it at high volumes, but if u just see the tiny tips of mids/highs barely being pushed outside of the data range its nowhere near as bad

u will find almost all music is pushed into the red to some extend, dont dare put rock into audacity, ull be blinded by red yet thats what gets a ton of play in an everyday persons car
