need help with power converting

well dad got a electric golf cart and he wanted me to put a radio and headlights and what knot on it and i was wondering what i would need to get the voltage down from 36v to 12v or so

it has 6, 6 volt deep cycle batteries in it and there all wired in series to get a final 36volt output, i figured i could wire into 2 batteries but there all in series so that wont work

i would talk to the guy that he got it from but i dunno if he knows how to do it right

im gunna run a set of fog lights, maby some brake lights or something and a cdplayer with some 5&1/4'' speakers

i can wire up anything but knowing how to step it down and not mess up anything is different to me

i can fab up something for speakers and what knot

i need something that will convert 36v to 12v and handle a 30-40amp load if need be

will 10amp handle fog lights and radio?

im thinking maby i can wire in something for break lights just for it to look cool, but soem lights so if u wanted to drive it at night u could

i did a golf cart with my buddy and they come with a 12v wire just call manufacturer support and they can tell you exactly where it is.
