Info On A Good, Tough Commuter Bicycle

Hey guys I'm hoping to find a decent commuter bike for this summer to save on diesel fuel. There are a few things I would prefer it had.

Disc Brakes, 21 speeds, 26" wheels, 2" rubber

I've got my eyes on a few.

Those are the ones I'm leaning toward. Our local bike shop is full of low end Diamondback junk so no luck there.

The bike only needs to last about a year. My budget is 350 dollars firm.

Feel free to chime in with options if you think you know of some better options.
