ddog199
Please help i am getting a system for my new truck and am getting conflicting info. I am going with 2 Alpine SWR-T12 subs and the new Alpine PDX-M12 amp. Now the question, can i run both speakers off this one amp at 4ohms at 600RMS or should i take this amp back and get two smaller PDX amps or run 2 PDX M-12's.... My main goal is to have the right set up with all Alpine equipment since im getting a deal on the alpine brand. how should i set it up.... The box is almost finished its getting painted on monday.. Thanks for your help

Moti
You will be fine with that amp. It does 1200 watts rms at a 2 or 4 ohms load.

So How do i set it up to run 600rms at 4ohms to both subs.. Since the subs are made for 4ohms at 600rms
Moti
You would have to wire them up parallel for a 2 ohms load.

In that case, yes you will be fine. My bad Sleepy time... POTATO!
Moti
I don't understand what you are trying to do bro. The PDX-M12 gives 1200 watts rms at a 2 ohms or a 4ohms load. Having 2 single 4 ohms voice coil woofers setup in parallel will give you a 2 ohms load. You will be fine each woofer will see 600 watts rms when wired up this way. The 1200 watts rms of the PDX-M12 is split in half, thus each woofer will still get 600 watts rms.
ddog199
Isn't it better to run 4 ohms? I would like to run 2 swr-t12's at 600rms at 4 ohms off this one amp. Is it possible?
Moti
On the PDX-M12 there is only one speaker output. So you would have to "wire" the woofers together to run two on one amp.
