illiniboy17
I was doing some work on my car today and my shocks/struts are way past over due to be replaced, i also came across a broken sway bar link that i have been driving on for i dont know how long. But i figured if i have to replace shocks and struts i might as well do springs too. I just wanted to know if it would be okay to put a set of lowering springs on with just regular replacement shocks/struts? (moog for ex.) want to put THESE lowering springs on. i know coilovers would be the best option but those are also quite pricey. thanks for help in advance also car is 1995 ford thunderbird lx V8 broken part i found today Quote Car: 1995 Thunderbird System: Pioneer deh5100ub HU Pioneer/Lightning Audio 5x7's 1 Hifonics 1610D amp 2 Obsidian Audio 12's 4cu.ft. box tuned to 30hz 8 farad Boss Audio cap 4 gauge power/ground wire Youtube Facebook

white4d96
For that kinda drop you should be fine with GOOD stock struts (Moog, KYB, Koni...NO Monroe or Gabriel!) Quote Too many projects, too little time...

white4d96
NP. FWIW I am planning on dropping 2-2.5" on homemade coilovers and I plan to use stock struts. I don't expect them to last long, but I'm planning on using them for now. Then again, my only other option is to send my strut housings in to be threaded for Koni race inserts, which for street use...yeah. No thanks. But if push comes to shove I may have to...
