Cause I have a 06 BMW 325 and the only alt I could find is a dc power 300amp alt. witch I will need for my system, but is it so damn spendy. I wish I didn't have the L7 system in my BMW also so I could use a aftermarket HU instead of my stock one. Anyway I am doing kinda the same build as you but with 2 dc level 6 12s with a DC 9k hoping to hit a 150 from the trunk Mine is 2.5L. I got my alternator from mike singer for a very good price. Also tried DC (never got reply or phone answer) and mechman (was little pricy). But as far as subs and amps go, I will stick with 10's and will upgrade amplifier to sundown 4500.
