Pics Of Blown 18 Btl?

Recommended Posts

I have talked to Scott a couple times about where to set the SSF too. One thing is that where you set it is user and amp dependent. The slope of the SSF is different from amp to amp. Some have a nice steep 24db slope some have a 18db or even 12db. The steeper the slope the more leadway you have in setting it below tuning. Also, The SSF is there to make sure stupid people dont over exert their subs. another thing is that ideally you want to have a variable SSF. this way you have more control over where to set it. If its a fixed one at 25hz and doesnt have a steep slope you run the risk of blowing the sub when you play it below tuning.

Say your box is tuned at 32hz, If you have a nice variable SSf with a 18- 24db slope you can getaway with setting the freq of the SSF around 28hz.

Hope this helped a little
