Tc sounds lms 18's

Hey guys, i havent seen too many topics about these subs and how they sound so id that i just make my own. From what ive heard i hear these subs sound amazing to say the least, however i was recently told that the sub only pushes a lot of air for the wow factor and when used to play other genres besides rap/ hip hop or basically songs with a lot of bass, they dont sound very good. I was shocked to hear this so i just came hear to see what all of you guys thought about the subs and also if any of you have personally heard them being played without the overdone bass lol.
