installing home edition OS

i am going to explain what exactly happened so u can diagnose it i turned on my computer one day after it froze and it would only appear in a windows 98 look and network cards would not show up in the network folder and not at the bottom but it showed i had card in on network tab in windows task manager . just wasnt showing it or letting me use it so then i decided after trying fix it i will install a new copys of windows xp decided to try 64 bit didnt work like i told you then i did 32 bit home edition my original disk didnt work no wi have made a official os disk and its still freezing at the same spot i think its something to do with the via 32 bit board drivers cause it will not let me do nothing pass that 32 mins installing network part in installation.
