franky8989
Im going to be adding a second battery in my car, located in the trunk, i have a Optima D34 yellow top up front and want to put a second one in the trunk. Stock Alt is 120 amp and from what ive been told it should be sufficient in charging these two batterys. Im running 2 MTX 9500's on 2 MTX 81001 amps rated at 1000rms each (birh cert shows just over 1300rms) at 2ohms each. There is also 2 Rockford p200-2's and a Jl audio 300/4 amps. A RF 3sixty.2 is also in the mix. Front battery ground has been upgraded and ive done the Big 3 all in 0 gauge. Is adding this second battery going to cause any problems and if not is it sufficent to run these amps properly?? What do you guys reckon?? splmark
It should be fine, I would run 2 0ga back (1 pos and 1 neg) and also ground in the back. If u don't have alot of wire u should be fine with 1 0ga but it helps with voltage drop to have both http://www.termpro.com/dbdrag/memberalbum/34416a0.jpg
