cars that are equipped with in-car cameras offer many advantages that cars without cameras cannot supply. Outside of safety issues, in-car cameras can also add convenience to the driving experience. ,there are something you have to to consider in order yo get a good car camera

Chips

CCD and CMOS chips are important parts of a backup camera, which are grouped by components. CMOS is often applied in lower-quality image products which has advantages of lower manufacturing cost and power consumption but has higher requirement in light source than CCD. CCD is mainly used in some high-end technology components on photographing. The two kinds of chips have large difference in technique and performance. Generally, CCD has better effect but needs higher price. So it is suggested that you choose CCD without regardless of price.

Definition

Definition is an important measure when judging a car camera. Generally speaking, high-definition products have better image

quality. At the present time, the cameras whose resolutions are at 420 TV lines are the mainstream of rearview cameras.

Night Vision

Night vision has something to do with the definition of cameras. High-definition products will have worse night vision. However, almost all good-quality products have night vision function and won’t affect objects imaging. Maybe they will have worse colors but clear viewing is out of the question.

Waterproof

Basically a majority of backup cameras have the waterproof function and work in all condition.

Size

The size of these cameras refers not to the camera itself, but rather the size of the monitor. The two more popular sizes are the 5 and 7-inch versions. Like with other electronic devices such as televisions and computer screens, this refers to the size of the monitor measured diagonally. As the monitor attaches to the dashboard, it must be slightly small as not to impair the driver’s vision when looking directly through the windshield.
