Kicker 6x9 failure

I just recently purchased a pair of Kicker KS69's and after install they sounded great. It's been about two weeks now and all of a sudden after I just recently changed my battery they stopped working. They gave a little bit of sound for a while but now there is no sound at all. They are only running off my head unit as well so I know I haven't overpowered them or blown them. My KS65's in the front door still work fine so I know it isn't a bad battery connection. Also, The fader on my new Alpine head unit isnt working either. The balance works fine, but the fader has no response at all. Worked fine before. And all of this started immediately after the battery was installed. Any ideas as to what could be going on?
