All the wires are connected on the harness except the radio illumination because the radio harness that came with the radio doesn't have the orange wire. Not sure what to do. blankskater08 Posted September 3, 2011 Report Share Posted September 3, 2011 Check and see if there is an ACC wire in the carside harness (the red wire on your new radio). You may need to run you own, some models had the Metra harness 70-1858 and others had the Metra harness 70-2003. The models that had the 70-2003 do not have that ACC wire, they turn on via a data wire, thats when you run your own ACC wire. If you do have the 70-1858 (and the ACC wire), check fuses and make sure the radio is not bad. I have the Scosche GM035. First thing I found, said it would work for my blazer. You need to find out if your Blazer is the model with or without the ACC wire first. There are 2 capacitors tho which throw me off but I didn't really think anything of it. One is on the orange wire and the other is on the black wire. blankskater08 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Share Posted September 4, 2011 That is the harness where you need to run your own ACC wire, everything else is normal unless you have a foctory amp, then wire the blue wire on the GM035 to the blue/wire from your radio.
