nick23parker Posted September 5, 2011 Report Share Posted September 5, 2011 I just had both my Kicker CVT8s go out on me and now i have to decide what to do next. Choices are replace the subs for about $150 or i have a friend that could get me a JL W3 12 for $100 in a box. Right now the 8s are in a stealth box behind the seat of my double cab. I would either put the JL behind the passenger seat or in on of the seats in the back. Which would be louder on a RF 400.1. The 8s rms at 200 which is what they are getting from the amp and a W3 rms at around 400. The 12 would leave me to be able to put a replacement 12 if i ever needed it but the 8s keep me from losing a seat which i dont drive other people that much anyways.
