d3dreaper Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 So lately i've been wanting to do an entire hardwired, custom control scheme and dock for an iPod touch in my car. I do not want to use the headphones jack to rca anymore nor do i want to pay $50-$60 just for the connector to rca cables.... So i'm asking ya'll... do any of you know how to make/build/modify existing ipod wires and/or HU's to have a direct line in to it (i do have an aux in though) and have power able to charge as well as possible controlling from the steering wheel? I am going to be using an iPod touch 2nd generation. I do have an old one that i'm going to be practicing molding with (using clay but that's what i got right now and i don't want to waste more expensive materials). I am decently experienced in cirquit bending but i'm worried about blowing my ipod... Your help is greatly appreciated Equipment to be used in setup: Panasonic CQ-C7301U Ipod touch 2G Old cables Odds and ends electrical components(resistors, caps, etc...) Those of you who are risking your relationships need to grow up. Bass can't make you sandwhiches. You clearly haven't tossed lunch meat, cheese, and bread in your port yet. Makes a hell of a bologna sandwich salad. Jiggles the balls pretty good too. If i ain't learning, I ain't living. Steve blocked me on YT... I think i irritated him a few years ago.... LOL sorry man I don't have any serious builds goin on... currently i have an Interfire IF-2400b pushing 2 Alphasonic PSW610J's... I'm broke and i don't want my son deaf before he's 2 haha
