samson s700 amp.. blow with wrong ohm load

hey guys i have this samson s700 amp and a friend blew something in it. i dont kknow what is blown i dont really understand how amps operate im learning. so do yall think that it can be fixed? if so, what would i need to fix? agian it was bridged to a 4ohm sub and the ohm load min is 8ohm when its bridged soo.. yea any help would be greatly appriciated(:

well there's your problem. don't do that, make sure the load is at least 8 ohms or higher. as far as the repairs go, it might not be worth repairing. they're going for about 130 used right now, and repairing it could be more, depending on what happened.

if you can, take the top off the amp so you can take a picture of the guts. take a few closeups, post them here and we might be able to help you a little better.

thanks for your help and i asked another friend about it and he said this amp is really cheap and it was constructed cheaply and poor so.. he said it probably blew alot of components inside the amp so im just gonna use that one for parts and get me a better amp=) agian thanks for your help!

btw i have an old peavy cs800 amp im just gonna use that one to power my subs now, that thing is old but its a power house!
