SMD DD-1 and a Line Driver (both high level and low level inputs)

Recommended Posts

So after testing my stock head unit, I know its point of distortion. That is with all of the tone controls set to center and 0. However, I keep my fader about 75% forward when playing my system. The head unit distortion point is higher on the volume scale with the fader setting where I always keep it vs having it centered. Should I stick to the original volume with the fader centered when tuning my system or can I use the higher head unit volume point since the DD-1 does not light up the distortion light at this higher head unit volume?
