In my truck i had 4 L5's behind the rear seat with a zx1000.1 powering them. Well the shop that put them in didnt put grilles on them so they got holes in them. Now they are putting 4 L7's in the same box. Kickers web site said they wanted the same airspace and the L7's are just a bit deeper. I'm just wondering what amp i need. I forgot if he's putting the 2 ohms or 4's but can you give me options for both for now? This isnt for comps just for everyday but I would like them to be loud when i want. Thanks for the help!!

Guest Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 well you need to know what coils you have because you'll wire up to two different final loads. for 2400w at 2 ohms, i'd go with a kicker 2500. for 1 ohm, i'd go with an audioque 2200d or something along that caliber.

I dont have all that much money left due to being off work for surgery. So im looking for to do the amp as much on a budget as possible. I was thinking about getting a refurb or blemed sundown or even a used amp just dont know whats going to be best. Would the best bet be getting them at 1 ohm? And finding an amp for that?

Alright just got a hold of him and hes doing the 4 ohm L7's so i need to find an amp with around 2,000 watts at 2 ohms. Im going to keep my eyes open for a zx2500.1 or 2000bd most likely thanks for all the help

Im going to keep my eyes open for a zx2500.1 or 2000bd most likely thanks for all the help they dont make 2000bd's anymore so it could be difficult to find one. you can use a t1500bdcp though, they birthsheet right around 2k the last time i checked and itll output the same amount of power at 2 and 1 ohm
