Guest
what would result in the better sounding? im going for a daily driver, spl is nice but no high tuning for music. I want a good compromise of loudness and quality. As of now my box is tuned to 32 hz and I like it, its not that loud but it defiantly gets the job done, but we all know on here that the job is never done... bandpass theoretically sounds better since the notes in the bandwidth range would have an equal amount of loudness. (god thats worded terribly but i cant put it in other words) ported boxes have a tendency to "peak", or have some notes sound drastically louder than other notes. but the design and build is simpler than that of a bandpass. but its completely up to you on which design you choose.
