iceman1575 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Share Posted December 3, 2011 Got my ELX118P's in yesterday. 18" powered subwoofer, 700 watt amplifier built in, but taking a look at the back, the power sticker reads "100-120VAC, 50-60Hz, 1.0A", and yes, that is 1.0 amps...for 700 watts...I know how pro audio gear outputs its power is different from DC current (car audio), but if I can run 4 of these speakers on only 5 amps, I'd be surprised. Best way to test it out, I have a 1200 watt generator...3400 watts on 1200 watts, should be an interesting test... Pics and vids coming up later... Quote POTATO!
