fecupe2001 Posted August 23, 2012 Report Share Posted August 23, 2012 Well i was just saying because that way you can test if it works or not using subs forward/port up, like i said, for me that definitely isn´t the best configuration on almost any car, but it would definitely be louder that what you are using right now, i picture of what you have right now would help a lot. About the aeros, in theory you would want them to have at least a clearance about the same size of the port, in other words, if you have 4" aeros in theory you need them to be at least 4" away from the hatch, is not a constant or a rule but seems to work fine, 2" is WAY too close if you ask me!! If i were you, i would try to get some sexy 12" subs that doesn´t need a big ass box, such as the Sundown Audio SA 12, or even some cheap pioneer 309 subs, i can asure you this, 3 12´s on a proper box would get you WAY louder that what you are using right now, i would try something like 5 cubic feet and a single 8" aeroport about 13" long, that would be a kick ass box on the room you have available I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
