DODGE-BASSHEAD25 Posted January 6, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 6, 2012 (edited) I did a little bit of ecperimenting today. i turned the box around and it sounds the same as firing towards the cabin as it does firing back. also i took a piece of board and held it firmly against the port and played the same song with it there and without it and it actually sounds cleaner and a little bit louder with the port open and firing back. only thing left to do is find a 1 ohm stable amp for a somewhat cheap price. any suggestions? i saw a MB Quart ONX1.1500D on craigslist for a somewhat good price. are they any good? The Audiopipes are as well, but not all of them do 1 ohm if I remember correctly. I don't cheap out when I select amps, so I've never run either of those brands, but people have great luck with them. Keep the L7's, build a proper box with the proper port and take the 300 you would have spent on the DC sub and buy a good 1ohm stable amp. You are only scratching the potential of those L7's with your setup. That setup has to be leaking some crazy air with the cracked up pieces of 1x screwed to the front of that box and that port is wayyyyyy to small for those subs.
