SO I take it that the subs are each dual 4 ohm configurations yes? If you were snag a decent small amp that ran 1 ohm stable, those subs would come alive.

thats what im hoping to do sometime in the next week or so. what is some good brands to look for that are 1 ohm stable that put out a good amount of RMS

I did a little bit of ecperimenting today. i turned the box around and it sounds the same as firing towards the cabin as it does firing back. also i took a piece of board and held it firmly against the port and played the same song with it there and without it and it actually sounds cleaner and a little bit louder with the port open and firing back. only thing left to do is find a 1 ohm stable amp for a somewhat cheap price. any suggestions?

i saw a MB Quart ONX1.1500D on craigslist for a somewhat good price. are they any good?

Hifonics Brutus series are a good bang for the buck. The Audiopipes are as well, but not all of them do 1 ohm if I remember correctly. I don't cheap out when I select amps, so I've never run either of those brands, but people have great luck with them.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

I just read your other thread and here is what I would suggest. Keep the L7's, build a proper box with the proper port and take the 300 you would have spent on the DC sub and buy a good 1ohm stable amp. You are only scratching the potential of those L7's with your setup. That setup has to be leaking some crazy air with the cracked up pieces of 1x screwed to the front of that box and that port is wayyyyyy to small for those subs.

Thanks for the suggestions man. Definitely looking into bullying a new box for these.
