Box For 2 Hdc3 18s

Should be getting my subs in the mail tomorrow, probably going to start on a box for them in 2-3 weeks. Pulled up Torres box calc and started trying to make one myself.

Hows that look? Box will be in a 96 tahoe if anyone wants to design me a box if that ones bad that would be cool. Try to stay 18 or under in height. Tuning between 32-36

What kind of power will you be running to the subs? If light on power i would put a little more air space. Maybe 14net. Port could be a problem. Ive always been told no more than 8:1 port ratio of hight to width. 16.5H x 12W would be a better port size and has almost identical area. I would do the subs facing up with port towards the hatch also. Will really sound good and get loud in a SUV.

I want to keep the port on the bottom, its going to be facing the hatch. Power will be a Aq3500 Most Likely.

tune is too low. shoot for ~37. and i hope you're gonna brace that thing, cause a double layer baffle and single layer everywhere else is probably going to flex like a motherfucker.

I plan on using wooden dolls to brace it. So I should probably double up on the hole box then.. Ill play around with torres calc in a bit

I was talking to a guy on youtube (hulbert87) hes local to me and said he'd sell me a 12cube birch box doubled everywhere 45s, tuned to 40hz with port plug and 45 without. It would be as much in cost as it would be just for the mdf I would use on my box so I'm thinking about it. Only thing I don't like is the 40hz tuning which is why im thinking about it still
