blackandgoldl69 Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 can i run these speakers on a legacy series II la-320 without them blowing up lol also how do i amplify speakers that are ran through crossovers just hook the speaker wire from the amp to the positive negative signal in terminals on the crossovers?
vans113 Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 just look up the rms ratings of those speakers and that amp not the little sticker that stamped on the side. some amps claim 1000 watts with a 30 amp fuse in them always look at rms ratings. and with active crossovers you just plug the rcas coming out of the deck into the crossover then plug some rcas that run out of the crossover into your amp and then connect your speakers to them. vans113 Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 well first off passive crossovers do not need a power source they just tune out other frequencies while a active crossover needs everything an amp needs ( power remote and a ground wire) but they do not need much power enouhg just to turn it on you could run a 18 gauge wire and be fine with that. I don't want to go too into depth but active crossovers are way far better than passive
