It did get about 3/16 lower though, had to get alignment cause toe was messed up. omg_spoon Posted February 17, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 17, 2013 Took out pretty much the last of the rear interior, I needed to get to passenger seatbelt cause my friend wrapped the belt around the retractor. Said fuck it, ended up removing the back seatbelts and the drivers side panels too. How it sits now that the springs settled. I scotch brite paded the area to mess up the paint, it annoys me, so thats my motivation to fix it pretty soon. The rtv I had sealing the wing pulled up some paint, so I just ended up sanding it off cause metal was already exposed. Touched it up with some flat black just to cover it. Yes I gorilla taped the holes shut, just to get me through the week. Hopefully can start filling the holes next weekend. Still debating if I want to do the antenna as well considering I havent used it in about 4 years. Plasti-dipped my quarter glass cause the tint was peeling off, I want to go get my back window retinted for 5% but I dont know when I'll get around to that. As for the holes, after work on monday I'll be heading over to a local body shop to ask how much it is just to get them welded shut. Since I dont really trust my welding skills, I probably wont rent one. Will probably end up just using some screen material and bondo. omg_spoon Posted March 16, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 Shop wanted $390 to weld and grind the holes, said it was gonna take 6 hours. So I decided just to use metal grate and bondo. No pics of bondo kinda forgot. Primer. Color. Went to 4 auto parts places, none had ford black. So I got universal its kinda close. They had black for every other major brand except ford. They had all the other bullshit ford colors too. Clear. Needs to dry and be hit with some 1500 and up tomorrow. It looks okay, really hard to tell from about 10 feet which is good enough for me. First time doing body work and paint since school which was 2 years ago. I should have just primed the whole trunk and called it a day, but I wanted to experiment so whatever. I'll probably do the fenders next week but thats a project cause I have to remove the bumper cover and all the lights to get the fenders off. Its all back together just didnt aim the headlights.
