Help needed! anybody with a Jeep Grand Cherokee ever have these issues?

Hey guys my names Jeff and ive been experiencing some problems with my Jeep not wanting to play my sub. I have an 05 Grand Cherokee ive had

for about 3 years now with a JL 13W7 powered by a JL 1000/1 which ive had even longer than this Jeep. I had the typical voltage problems so

ive installed a new XS Power d6500, new alternator and also did my grounds and power wires in 0/1. Everything seemed to be fine after i did

all that but a few months later it started to mess up again. My alpine head unit shuts off and my instrument cluster starts to go hay wire.

My rpm's will go up and down but there is no change in the way my Jeep idles the airbag light will go on and off, the other lights will

flash for a second and my headlights will turn on and then turn off by themselves. I've changed my clock spring to only have the same

problems figuring it is all tied together somewhere in the wiring harness. I then changed my head unit to a newer alpine unit to have the

same thing happen. So while it was acting all crazy i unplugged the PAC C2R-CHY4 wiring harness that you need in order to make an

aftermarket radio work and everything went back to normal no more airbag light or rpm fluctuation. So my next idea was to change the stupid

wiring harness you need to make it work figuring maybe something was wrong in the harness so i changed that to have it happen to me again.

Ive checked all my grounds and even when my head unit wouldn't turn on it had 14.4 at the plug so i have no idea anymore. I thought it only

happened when i would turn my subwoofer setting on on the head unit but I've had it mess up without any power going to the amp and its even

happened with the stock radio in. My airbag light came on for a good week straight and then just happened to go off and it has its time

where it will flash on and off. I've looked on the Jeep forums and some people have said they had problems in the Jeeps main wiring harness

behind the dash and even loose grounds behind it so that's kind of what i'm leaning towards next just haven't had the time to pull my dash

out. Do you think i could have something wrong in my amp? I've had it for about 5 years now maybe something is wrong internally? Any

experienced these problems. I know the 1000/1 and w7 take a lot of power and the Jeep wiring harness' and computers are really sensitive so

that's why i feel its something in my dash like a loose ground. Thanks for any help you can give me i really appreciate it.

This just happened in my 2007 jeep grand Cherokee. The Pac interface you are using is most likely version 1. 1. 3. Don't plug that thing back in it screwed up my electrical system and I know i had it wired correctly because it worked for a year and a half but something internally went wrong. So now after $550 in repairs my problems are gone but I am still in need of the updated version of this interface. (version 1. 1. 6) All of this was figured out after speaking with tech services at PAC. Luckily the mechanic working on my car saw that the interface was the problem. If you have anymore questions just ask I have been through the exact same thing.
