Frenchrd Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Ok this might sound weird.. Im 26 and the only setup ive had was 2 audiobahn 10s and a duel amp... I know... But this is my baby. I have a 97 2 door jimmy... I was looking at 2 12 in dc level 4 in a slotted box.... A dc 3.5 or a hifonics 3200. Alpine all for highs and mids. Question... What size boz do i need to have this thing flexing? Hifonics or the dc? How much of the truck do i have to accumat? And how many batteries do i need? Also do i have to upgrade to a hd silverado alternator? Plz all help is appreciated....
gufman Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 A custom box is the way to go, for sure. As for the amp, I'd stick with the dc 3.5 but if you have the budget go with the 7.5. If it was me, I'd start accumatting at least the floor, the sides of the fender wells and the lift gate for now. Then do the roof from front to back, unless you've got the time then do it all at once. Definitely upgrade your alt and do the big 3. At the least start with 2 deep cycle batteries but for sure 4 good deep cycle batts.
