Rms and Specs How do I know if the subs Im looking at is worth the cash

I'm new to subwoofers. I have two Orion xtr124 and I have a 1000w amp on them, I was wondering how big of an amp I can put on there without destroying them... Can anyone help me out here? Also I have Rockfordfosgate with a tweeter and a super tweeter in the middle and kicker with a tweeter in them too. Any suggestions on making them louder? I have a 350w amp laying in my room maybe I can hook it up to the speakers?
