i have been out of the game for a long time now and i'm putting together a new system,in my cts.

Correct me if i'm wrong.There is know need to connect the speaker wires from the head unit if i'm using rca cables to send the audio signal to my 4channel amp correct? I could then make my speaker connection in my trunk for my door speakers because i have a factory amp in my trunk. By the way i will disconnect my factory amp and just use the speaker outputs going to my doors.I know it sounds like a noob question. thanks in advance.
