KevinMowens
Hi I used to have a Ford explorer and I just sold it and got a 05 Chevy Trailblazer Lt. I stripped everything out of it and I plan to put it in my Trailblazer. Wiring everything in my explorer was a breeze, now I have to figure out this Trailblazers stuff. It has onstar and bose system. First thing I need to know if anyone can help me out. Do I absolutley need the $110 wiring harness? or can I get by with the $20 one? some guy was telling me that if I didnt get the expensive one that all check engine lights would turn on and stuff. Also the other question was about runninng the power wire. Am I going to have to drill a hole thru the firewall? I cannot see a good sized hole in it. If there are any Trailblazer owners please help me out. Thanks.

KevinMowens
Alright cool. Does your trailblazer have a sunroof? Because the headliner is flimsy and I would hate to break the sunroof.
El1T3Bass
The headliner won't do anything to the sunroof, but having 140+db will. Mine is all fucked up, sounds like shit, but it works still If your doing anything 145+ I'd would put at least a layer of SS, AT, or whatever you use. El1T3Bass
How much roof flex do you have? Do your sun visors jump around? Quote wow now this just shows that smd isnt just any forum. KevinMowens
well i haven't put my system in yet. But in my explorer a lot of stuff broke. The roof also flexed pretty bad
dblovah51
I dnt have a sunroof but I would deaden the roof because trailblazers has only one stable structure support in the roof the other two headin to the rear is flimsy as a yard stick Quote 2004 trailblazer 4 FI BTL 18s (2) DC 10.0k xs power d3100s mechman 270 158.2 @

ll_wwcnd_ll
Hey i have a Chevy Trailblazer and you have to buy the GMOS adapters depending on what model TB you have. You can buy the cheap Scoshe model if you want but i wouldnt recommend it not a very good quality product if you ask me.
