Names_jeff
Alright, I'm gonna be running 2 DC lvl 4 12's on a crescendo 2k at .5 ohm. The woofers are d2. Ill have a d3400 up front and a 240 amp singer alt. 0 awg power wire and 8 awg speaker. My question is without running a batt in the rear, as in a 3100 or somethin, would the voltage drop be too low? Let me know what you guys think! -thanks
jrchevy87
you should be perfectly fine on that, 2k watts at 60% efficiency(running at .5 ohm) ur draw will be about 231 amps so you shouldnt have any issues Jeep Wrangler TJ Hardtop Build

jrchevy87
i used the amps law (2000/14.4(what the amp is rated it max power at)/.60 for the efficiency(just a guess cuz of the impedience). now some ppl say divide that by half for music but i dont know, i just go by the amps law Jeep Wrangler TJ Hardtop Build

jrchevy87
A typical class d amp runs about 70 percent efficiency so at half an ohm I figured on 60% Jeep Wrangler TJ Hardtop Build
