9blazer8
hi i recently got my truck on the road after replacing a trans and i hooked up my amps and everything was working well but today i turned the corner and my subs stopped working and my interior amp made a werid noise like something was touching together so i pulled over and nothing was touching but it still seemed like my rcas had some humming noise coming threw them even my subs where pulsating. so could it be my rcas? or should i just pull out my old wires and run new wires ? what do you guys think
ant the ninja
Did you check your ground? Maybe when you took the corner something moved or pulled and it came loose? ant the ninja
Could be bad RCA's but I doubt it, just check your grounds, make sure its on bare metal and the connection is solid. If its not that, check everything for cuts or pinches. Also, unplug your rca's and see if the humming stops Edited April 7, 2012 by ant the ninja Quote 2002 Ford Explorer XLT Front Stage: Crescendo CCX 6.5's Rear Stage: ??? ant the ninja
What do you mean you have a brain for your indash and interior amp? you have more than one amp? I need some more details. I'll bet you anything your ground came loose, doesn't seem like you want to check that though...ha Quote 2002 Ford Explorer XLT Front Stage: Crescendo CCX 6.5's Rear Stage: ??? 95Burbancalldsnow
Though I've felt like an idiot today trying to build my first box for subs I'm with the other guy(s) being that it worked fine until you replaced they tranny I would go through and double and triple check your engine frame and bodie grounds
Goblenator
maybe your amp took a $hit on u
9blazer8
well its not the amp or amps they still work its to me it seems like the rcas are the problem but i just replaced them both. it sounds like a winding noise like something is touching but nothing is. and i replaced the tranny 2 weeks ago but thats a good guess since i did turn a corner and it did it. i have power just 1/4 of what it was and it has that noise im thinking about ripping the wiring out and replacing it.
