1998 Mercury Mountaineer Factory Subwoofer Box concept questions.

Well, as the title says, I have the 1998 Mountaineer and I was looking into the concept of having a DECENT (even if it's just sub par) load of bass in it without the storage hatch being taken up So, a box with 10's 12's and such is out of the question. I know there are MTX boxes available for purchase that will house a 10" sub, but the pricetag just says "no thanks". Again, this just something decent.

I'musing an aftermarket amp (Dual 400 watt simple little thing) hidden behind the seat and is not affecting anything.

Just looking for cheap replacement ideas that are 4 ohms and at least 400 watts max.

WSas thinking the Kicker 10CVT84 because the door speakers are kickers and it's a shallow mount with what I'd think would be a nice thing to have all matching speakers. Any other ideas?
