John Devlin
I recently picked up an Alpine CDA-117 to see what it was like compared to my Pioneer HU, and after I installed it I noticed a barely noticeable (but noticeable nonetheless) high pitched noise coming from the headunit itself. It only does it when the illumination is on and the ringing does not change in relation to the RPM's. I can run it in blackout mode but it seems like a waste because it has such a nice display. Has anyone else had this issue with the CDA-117? Any suggestions on how to stop it? John Devlin
I don't think it's an issue with the wire, but moreso an issue with the screen and it being lit. If the screen is on, the noise is there. When its not, the noise is gone Alpine CDA-1171 Sundown Audio SA-12Alpine MRP-M500Infinity Reference Speakers Bose Tweeters
