Advanex Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 I'm trying to help a friend build a ported box for his boat. He currently has a 12" Alpine Type R in a leaky sealed box that sounds terrible. I'm wanting to build him a ported enclosure that will sound great, but there is one catch. The location that he is wanting to use has a door openening of 10" wide and 18" tall. There is plenty of depth to the space once you clear the doorway. Any suggestions? I'm guessing that there is 3' of room inside the opening. I'm still learning about ported enclosures, and I have no clue of how to design one for a boat application. Any suggestions? He has a cheap Sony amp right now, but he is willing to upgrade the amp (he's wanting Alpine to match the HU and Sub.) Her's a picture of the boat. The red arrow is the doorway.
