Help running second battery in trunk

Recommended Posts

Hello, I just bought a Crescendo BC2000d and I have cheap dB link 4 gauge wire that doesn't even have copper in it, it looks like and stock battery, and stock alternator. I did do the big 3 upgrade with 1/0 cable. I get a steady 14.8 - 15V from the battery.

I ordered 1/0 welding cable that i'm going to be replacing that cheap 4 gauge with but the guy at Crescendo said I should have another battery in the trunk to get the full power from it. I've never done this. Sounds easy I guess, do I just run the 1/0 cable to the battery in the trunk, ground it, and then run the wires from the second battery to my amp? Does this make a big difference doing this? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

thanks
