904slumpin Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 got a 98 lumina with a single l7 12 in it now and just got paid so im lookin to get some new subs.. been lookin at the sex12s by re for like $170 a piece. any other suggestions? another question, when using the box building programs does "EXTERNAL PORT LENGTH" mean as if i was to put the port into the rear deck? like if i want the port coming out the box and sealed off onto the rear deck.. will it hurt the sub if i go over the 2cu per sub? my box is about rough drafted to about 6cubes FINAL QUESTION, am thinking of maybe 4th order bandpass through the rear deck, if i do so, will the amount of room that the face of the subwoofer is sealed off in need to be a CERTAIN cubic footage? will whatever it is affect my final freq. that the port is tuned at? The random noises my friend's makes would be enough to make me want to take it out and smash it with a sledgehammer. I think it'd get more hits than the review you were thinking of
