I agree, if you place some hidden LEDs in there it could really look nice at night.

And I was gonna suggest the same thing stuffdog did, remove the lid, lay some tape of foil down and then go to town on some glass!

Cool I'm going to do the LEDs for sure. Noob question can I hard wire them into the trunk light wires or is it better to use toggle switch? Your post didn't show before I responded to stuffdog now I got the answer to the question. Thanks guys for the help.

As long as you get Pos and Neg right, I dont see why you couldnt remove the trunk light at wire it to that. Maybe just check what its fuse rating in the fuse box is so you dont exceed the current draw that system is rated for.

Yes sir, I will defiantly keep that in mind and thanks for the help.

That is exactly what I'm trying to figure out. Thought of making slots for body clips in the hood and glass clips in the panel. I just hope that will work cause next week or after I want to get to that point.

I like the blue LED light idea along with the plexiglass. How did you plan on mounting them? maybe switch the amplifiers around and open 'er up to show the guts, then line a couple of LED strips along the sides?

Edit: BTW my car shit the bed the other day... it's in the shop now. I'm assuming that it's another common escort problem. I'll give you a warning on what it was

At this point I am waiting for LEDs to get here then I'll know for sure. The thought is one strip under the rear deck from there it's up in the air. If I do the plex then I'll mount to the back of the panel which won't pose any problem. I don't know if the guts are worth showing but that might be a cool thought and won't be hard to do.

I was going to use a toggle switch in mine, probably on the roof of the trunk to just flip it when I open the trunk AND wire it to your trunk light so that it shuts off when you shut the trunk

can we get a gut pic of the amp? IMO LEDs can make the guts look really cool. This is my plan for guts

I've got to take the side panels out to make adjustments so I'll take a look at one of them and pics. Like that setup looks pretty cool. Hopefully I will get back on this car today between rerunning dryer house through the walls and my heart acting up kinda slowed thinngs a bit lol.
