Rebel4055
Ok, running rough BEFORE or AFTER the plugs. Did you just stick them in without checking the gap? And if it was AFTER the fact, what plugs did you use? I know some plugs in those motors don't play well. Edited May 17, 2012 by Rebel4055 Quote Rest In Peace mother. b-dubs89
the cyl misfire code is the one i dread the most because it can be caused by anything from intake seal , head gasket ,compression , injector , ignition , timing and probably a lot other things as well . i had a vehicle with a missfire and i started by checking the pcv , vacuum lines ,looking at wiring for anything obvious , switching wires from a known good cylinder , sprayed ether around the intake manifold seal while it was running to check the seal , finally a compression test revealed the cylinder with the misfire had low compression due to the head gasket leaking . if you plan to fix your own car the first thing you should get if you don't have it already is a repair manual and not chiltons ,get something better . if you suspect the injector for that cyl you can see if you can trade it for another cyl
