Chance.316 Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 OK so its been about dozen years since I've last bought a new car so I've been out the game when it comes to car audio. I'm a big fan of Punch and JL's for bass and infinity for everything else. Problem is I'm trying not to run a whole new system on the Shelby. Just wanna change the crap they have for speakers out for decent stuff. Stock btw is the shaker 500 system with 2 6x8 for the front with depth of 5'', 2 8'' shallow subs with depth of 4'', and 2 6x8 rears. I know nothing about the stock amps, just that they prolly suck too. I'm thinking of getting kappas all around but I"ve notice that the newer model infinities kinda suck compared to the old skool made in japan ones. But I know nothing about 8 inch subs, especially the thinner ie suckier one's. What are some options nowadays 6x8 wise for an 07 shelby gt, and what are some options for replacing the subs. Keep in mind I'd like to just switch out speakers and do nothing else. I'd like to keep the 6 speaker cost to under $300, heck $200 if at all possible. If anyone's worked on the newer mustang gt's before and have some input or experience please chime in. O and I'm not interested in anything best buy or walmart has to offer; they make junk in my opinion. thanks in advance everyone.
