alright heres whats up i went out to the blazer to start it and test out a new cd i just got but when i did i found my sub makin a wierd noice (like coil rub only X10000000 worse) and although this is the first sub ive had thats lasted and been through a lot im just tired of messing with it and planning on permanently retiring it and as im looking on a few different sites i found a couple i liked and would fit my budget but one i found most interesting due to looks and description and price is one on the sonic electroinix site and i was curious if yall knew anything about the brand or this particular sub

Powerbass is a really good brand so is cerwin vega, about the only two i would use from the list given

that powerbass the best of those, but what ohm load do you need, bc the cerwin vega is only 1 voice coil and so is the kole, those other 2 are dvc, so you'll wire them differently.

that is an alpine 10 inch dual 4, i just put 1 in my wifes truck and it pretty loud and clean. they have dual 2 also.

it is a much better sub than those you posted, and in the same price range.

well the amp i have is only 4 ohm stable so i really lookin for a dual 8 or single 4 im still lookin around as for the dual 4s how i was lookin at them as is 1 coil wired to chan 3 and the other to chan 4 as for dual 2 cant i run them in series and get 4 ohm load?

a dual 2 will give you a 4 ohm or 1 ohm. And that alpine is still better than those last two subs, audiobahn is horrible for sq.

and you don't want to wire 1 coil to a channel on an amp, just wire them together ti get a final load of 4 ohms going to the amp

yeah i get what youre saying but with a dual 4 ou either get 2 or 8 ohm... i ccould also do a dual 6 because my last sub nefore the mtx was a 3 ohm and it ran fine never shut off or heated up the amp (destablized the amp)
