And do I need the digital interface? I don't have onstar or any of that should I get it Idc about warning chimes as their annoying when I'm trying to listen to music with doors open

i'd go JVC. I think i read some where JVC brought kenwood but i may be wrong.

Yes, all the warning chimes can be disabled via the backend menu on the Pioneer. I just did it in my truck to give demos :)
