I recently bought some tinted LED tail lights for my truck, me and my friend were talking about sanding them down some & spraying the with some clear with some blue pearl in it. He thinks the tail lights are too dark to be able to see the pearl. Here is what the lights look like, do you guys think it too dark to see the pearl?

Regardless of how dark they are, you will see the pearl! Think....when you spray black base with a pearl mid coat, you will see the color change in the sunlight!

Just be careful when applying! If the lights are already tinted and cleared, sand them with 800 grit wet sandpaper (wet sand), then apply your mid coat very catefully, mid coats such as pearls and candies are prone for runs, so apply carefully!

Then wait about 15-20 min and apply your clear, this should also help give you more depth in the lights and really bring out the color!
