i have two 12 in dc audio level 5 subs.I am looking to get a new box. the box that i am using now is made for some type x, and i think its tuned to 42hz maybe. well i need a little help with box idea. been getting told since i have a hatch back i should do subs facing roof and port out the back. but i want to keep me car out of the wall class so no wall. and i need to keep my back seats. so i have to stay below the back window. so that only leaves me a little big of room. i am not the best with box idea or this kinda of info so i got the size of my trunk and room i have to work with. any kinda info would be great. i took it to a bass show and i did 143.2 db. would building a new box be the way to go?

was told i could have a 150 db set up if i get it done right. thanks for everyone time hope to hear back fast.

height =17 inches

side to side 39 inches. wire hook ups will have to go in the back of box no room for side

depth i can do 16 in.

so do i have room for 1.5ft for each sub?

my ride

2006 vw GTI

stock alternator

1 yellow top optima

cd=player alpine cd 9886

2 alpine v-power 2k

2 12in dc audlo level 5

youd prolly be better off running only one of those amps until you get electrical. 2k is pushing it too with stock electrical. How can you not work for a few years?

im sorry to hear that.

but pretty much your voltage drop is probably crazy. so id prolly run 1 sub 1 amp then add other 2 later.
