aN-i-No Posted May 31, 2012 Report Share Posted May 31, 2012 I feel that it's more to taste, I doubt that overpowering them at 3000Hz is any more risky than at 13000Hz, maybe a little more power handling but not much. It's pretty much the same as a sub. A coil can only take so much thermally and that's final. If you play it too low you risk mechanical damage. ham4864 Posted May 31, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) i had a extra soundstream tws 4 tweeter (had 2 but one was sent to me damaged) so i got that MOFO playing at about 8000hz on about 50 watts maybe less and that MOFO sounds good. I have been playing all kinds of music through that thing. i like the way it sound. You guys have been the greatest of help.
