Crandis16 Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 I have plans in the making on a new sub stage and this time I am having to deal with bracing and and extra baffle to reenforce the box. 1 DC lvl 4 m2 12" in a box tuned to 32Hz is my goal. I'm going to run a threaded rod through the box as well as do a double baffle. I want to resin the box too for increased strength. This is what I've got so far... I would really rather not do much of external port but I will do a little (5in +/-). This is where I need your help. I'm not too sure if I should increase the net volume in order to reach the correct tuning, or if I should follow the 1.5-1.75 cubic feet of volume for one 12" and adjust the aeroport until I reach correct tuning? Thanks a lot, I've done a slotted port already and that was cake, aeroports seem to be a little more complicated Edit: it's sub forward port forward My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL

That's what I've been using recently and I really like it. I mean suggested ported is 1.5 cubes but do you think it would hurt if I didn't use that guideline but stuck to the 9-12 in^2 per ft^3 to get my tuning correct?
